1. Data accuracy

StakingBoard aggregates data from publicly available sources across the internet. We do our best to keep the data fresh and internally consistent, but:

• External APIs can be wrong, stale, or temporarily down.
• APY depends on variables we can't observe (gas costs at your size, slippage, claim frequency, bridge friction, taxation).
• LP yields are composite (trading fees + reward emissions); reward-token prices move minute-by-minute and past APY does not predict future APY.
• TVL and volume are exchange-reported and can be manipulated with wash trades, especially on smaller chains. Treat outliers with skepticism.

2. DeFi risks

Staking, liquidity provision, lending, and farming all carry risks that StakingBoard cannot predict or control, including:

• Smart-contract exploits — protocols have been drained for hundreds of millions; audits reduce but don't eliminate the risk.
• Impermanent loss on LP positions — price divergence between paired assets can outweigh fee income.
• Slashing for validator misbehavior or LST depeg events.
• Bridge failures — cross-chain wrapped assets (USDC.e, WBTC, stETH bridges) have their own failure modes.
• Protocol insolvency, rug pulls, governance attacks.
• Regulatory shifts — local bans, tax rule changes, staking restrictions, securities classifications of tokens.
• Stablecoin depeg events — USDC has broken its peg before; no stablecoin is guaranteed.

3. No guarantee of returns

Past APY on StakingBoard does not predict future yield. A pool earning 12% this week may earn 2% next week or be rugged tomorrow. Historical charts are diagnostic, not predictive.

4. Pool and protocol rankings

Our "best yield for X" rankings are computed from current APY + TVL data. They are not endorsements of a specific protocol or pool. Always verify smart-contract addresses through official protocol channels; the DeFi ecosystem is full of phishing clones.

5. Decisions you make

You are solely responsible for your staking, LP, and trading decisions. By using StakingBoard, you acknowledge that you've read and understood this disclaimer and accept full responsibility for any outcome.
