Restaking lets the ETH you've already staked do a second job. EigenLayer, Symbiotic and Karak forward your staked ETH (or a liquid restaking token like weETH or ezETH) to "Actively Validated Services" — bridges, oracles, data layers — and pay you extra yield on top of base Ethereum staking. Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRTs) wrap that into a single token you can use elsewhere in DeFi.

The risk to know: on top of ETH's normal slashing risk, LRTs add the operator's restaking strategy risk and any AVS-specific slashing the operator opted into. Points programs add a separate uncertain reward layer.
